Mazz made a post a few months back showing off the Obama AF1’s created by Van Taylor. Apparently Van’s design inspired another shoe customizer to create another Obama shoe, switching it up to the Nike Dunk. This time around sneaker artist TTK took on the theme and ended up with the pair above. Check his site for alternate views and more about the sneaker.

This is a pretty dope pair of decked out AF1’s by Sole Junkie designed to coincide with the critically acclaimed ‘Iron Man’ movie by Jon Favreau. I’ve yet to see the movie, but I wouldn’t mind having this fresh pair of forces displayed alongside other customs in a collection. Some notable features include the use of real 23K gold on Iron Man’s figure, and glow-in-the-dark tones on his eyes and armor. Big ups to Sole Junkie for the hotness. Other creations designed by him include a “Big L, Big Pun, B.I.G.” tribute AF1, Transformers inspired shoe, and a lot of Puertan Rican influenced kicks. Check his myspace page above to show love.
3R Customs received a special request from someone who wanted a pair of dunks resembling the pair from Back to the Future II to match the colorway of the cap Marty rocked in a bunch of scenes. Pretty wild if you ask me. I’m sure this customer was hella impressed by the work of 3R (Red Ribbon Reconstruction). They even got Christopher Lloyd aka Doc Emmitt Brown and some other cast members to take some pics with the kicks.
Created by custom Puma specialist Briezrs. I love how they encompass everything from the fat yellow laces representing the turtle’s belly to the red stripe which is obviously Raphael’s color. If only they could throw twin Sais in there somewhere. Gotta love the retro cartoon kicks. Briezrs makes some pretty dope AF1’s too. Check the site out.
I’ve been keeping an eye on this C2 website for a bit. They throw down some legit designs on anything from Air Max’s to Vans. According to the official website, everything is hand painted and hand crafted, which is obviously reflected in the price of his kicks. I really like this “Urbanflauge” style that was posted recently. I think they would would look a little sicker if the swoosh was done in something other than straight up black but wtf do I know right. They got another similar style goin on with a Desert Storm theme to it. I must say they’re pretty dope too.
