Unfortunately, it looks as though we’re going to have to wait for the long anticipated Kimbo Slice vs. Tank Abbott brawl. Now that Kimbo has signed, EliteXC apparently has different plans for the notorious underground fighter as they’ve scheduled his debut to take place November 10th against Mike Bourke at EliteXC: Renegade on Showtime. This could be better for Kimbo though, since it puts him in a position to train hard and take the game seriously as he’s not going to be fighting washed up sluggers anymore. With all the hype surrounding the World Series Winners, the Boston Red Sox and undefeated New England Patriots, Boston fans have to big up Danny Ainge and Boston Celtics’ front office. Shaking up the roster in the off-season with some veteran star power (Garnett and Allen), they’ve made the Celtics possible contenders and put them up there hypewise with the Sox and Pats. I’ve never been the biggest baseball fan but I am from Boston area and I gotta give props to the Sox. Their four game sweep of the CO “Rookies” was almost boring after the Cleveland comeback but last nights game managed to get interesting at 4-3. Only team I’ve ever seen that needs Champagne goggles when they celebrate! Also worth mentioning was the stomping of the Redskins by the Patriots earlier in the day at 52-7. Props to Belicheck “The Bully” for running the score up, I love it. Make sure you catch the massive battle next Sunday when they battle the undefeated Colts in Indy.

Undefeated super middleweights Joe Calzaghe (43-0) and Mikkel Kessler (39-0) square off next Saturday, November 3rd from Denmark. It’s a free HBO fight and could easily be a contender for fight of the year with their fan friendly styles. Click the pic for a little bit of action from both.
Last night during the 2007 Scream Awards on Spike TV (which is an awesome award show) Dana White publicly announced that Chuck Liddell will fight Wanderlei “Axe Murderer” Silva on December 29th at UFC 79: NEMESIS, the same night Serra will fight Matt Hughes. This has been one of the biggest speculatory matches in MMA history and will surely be one of the most exciting fights of the year. I think Silva’s fearless and extremely aggressive style is going to overwhelm Chuck’s stiking game. I’ve always thought Liddell to be over-rated and I’m personally forecasting Chuck getting dropped by a flurry of knees.

Holy Shit. I just checked out this game on my friends PC and its pretty much off the hook. I was a big fan of FPS games Quake ll & lll Arena a while back but this takes it to a whole new level. Some of the features include huge elaborate battlefield maps, an assortment of vehicles including mobile air units, a large selection of guns and missions, and the ability to play on either side. I’ve never played Halo 3 but I’m guessing this is competes closely with it. FPS games remind me of FPS Doug so I’ve posted that below.
Rich “Ace” Franklin gets a chance to steal the middleweight title back from Anderson “the Spider” Silva tomorrow at UFC 77, one year following his brutal destruction. You know Franklin is going to come out with a few butterflies left over from being picked apart in the clinch last October. Should be a nice fight. I met Tracy Morgan while I was bartending at a small restaraunt. He came in after a big show and serenaded his dinner party as well as the rest of the restaraunt by singing R.Kelly acapellas for about an hour. It took an hour for them to eat cuz noone could stop laughing. I knew he was funny but the dude is straight nuts. He’s also a real nice guy so I had to show some love with this Jackass spoof vid.
You know I’m slipping when I don’t check the sequel to one of my favorite movies in the theatres… That being said I rented this flick last night and was blown away. If you liked the first one you will love this one as it far exceeded my expectations.
Nato forces go into London to rebuild and repopulate 6 months after the Rage Virus wipes out mainland England. Everything goes to shit soon after and it gets chaotic pretty quickly and stays that way until the “bloody” end (English Pun). I’m a huge fan of vampire and zombies flicks but this is in a class of its own and definitely more of a film than anything. Skip the rental and just buy the DVD. I heard rumor of a 3rd film “28 Months Later” may be in the works where the virus spreads to mainland Europe and overseas. Click the pic for the trailer.
The much anticipated matchup between brawlers Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott set for October 12th has been cancelled due to contract disputes within Cage Fury Fighting Championships organization. Supposedly Palace Fighting Championship president Christian Printup is attempting to keep the fight afloat by transferring the fight to one of their cards. PFC’s next event is scheduled for less than a week after the CFFC event and the fight would likely be added to that card. Props to MMAweekly.com for the updates.
